City of Meridian plans for huge mixed-use development on Ten Mile
Meridian, Idaho was voted the number one city to live in by Wall Street 24/7 back in November of 2015 and the area is exploding with new growth.
Smack dab in the middle of the city of Meridian is Ten Mile road and back in 2007, the state invested $34 million on the Ten Mile Interchange there.
Now with the surge of people moving to Meridian, the city developers are working on master plans for the development of this area.
According to the City of Meridian's Ten Mile Interchange Specific Area Plan, the development would function differently than a typical commercial area or residential subdivision. Many residential uses will occupy the second and third levels of buildings above retail, office and light industrial uses on the ground floor. In some commercial areas, residential uses may occupy the lowest levels of buildings.
